Get involved in our work

We work with care organisations, people who need care and support and carers, and other partners to make sure our activities reflect their needs.

Whether you are part of a large care provider, a new business expanding into social care or a person who directly employs a personal assistant, there are many opportunities where you can contribute to our on-going work.

You can get involved by taking part in research, responding to consultations, providing case study examples, commenting on draft products, co-producing new policies or agreeing to be a study site.

All our consultations and research projects are promoted in our fortnightly enewsletter. Sign up to our mailing list so you don’t miss out on new opportunities.

Our website hosts a vast library of information and practical support for the adult social care sector. We’re currently looking at ways to improve the website to make it easier to access the information you need.

To help us do this, we’re looking for volunteers to take part in our usability-testing which will be happening over the coming months. If you're interested in taking part, please complete the form and we’ll be in touch with more details.

Supporting workers to progress into, and excel in management roles is essential in social care. Care workers can find themselves unprepared for the very different role of a manager.

Skills for Care is running a short survey to understand the sector’s use of the different offers available to aspiring and new managers, and the value placed upon the different learning and development offers.  This will help us to ensure that what is available now, and in the future, will meet the needs and aspirations of the sector.

Please take 10 minutes to complete this simple survey and influence the direction of our work.

Take the survey

In partnership with Skills for Health and Health Education England, we’re inviting you to take part in a survey to consider potential updates to the Care Certificate standards.

The survey should take approximately 20 to 30 minutes to complete, and will close at 12:00 on 16 August 2021.

Following evaluation of this survey, recommendations for updates will be made. In the meantime, please continue to use the current standards.
