Due to the COVID-19 outbreak we have taken the decision to postpone* all face to face events scheduled to take place until the 1 September 2020.
Our top priority is to help local services ensure that they can provide people with the care they need. We do not think it is appropriate to divert staff time during this time of increased activity for the health and care sector.
We will continue to assess the viability of face to face events beyond September in line with current Government and Public Health guidelines.
Already booked to attend a Skills for Care event?
You will be contacted by a member of the Skills for Care Events Team to confirm the postponement. We will look to reschedule events at a time when it is appropriate to do so and you will be contacted again at this time.
*Some events will be run as webinars. If you have booked to attend an event you will be notified seperately of the webinar arrangements for this.
Contact the Skills for Care events team for any enquiries.
Zoom security measures
We may use Zoom to deliver webinars and other virtual events. We are aware that there are some concerns around privacy in Zoom. NHSX’s guidance on information governance during COVID-19 is clear that any solution which allows communication between health and social care is fine to use right now. To access this guidance please click here.
We follow best practice to ensure that Zoom is secure for our events including the use of passwords, lobby admission, authenticated users, locked rooms and the ability to not let participants record the event.
